Temporary/Emergency Privileges

I have always understood that if temporary privileges are granted for an urgent patient care need and the minimum bylaws criteria as meet per the bylaws. The file still needs to be completed in its entirety even if the shift has always been completed and the provider will never cover again. Is this what you do at your facility? Any response is much appreciated.

    We would issue locum tenens privileges for these scenarios - they can be granted up to a total of 120 days.
